MANDZHITSU

The Lidl supermarket chain ran Culinary Break, an educational activity in which it visited schools nationwide to teach children aged 7 to 12 about healthy food, cooking, and eating. The company needed an interactive game that would appeal to this age group and be relevant, engaging, and educational.

We developed Mandzhitsu as a free mobile app for Android and iOS phones and tablets.

The game consisted of a lab where children combined nutritional elements like vitamins, proteins, and carbohydrates to create food products. In the next level, the kitchen, they combined two or more of these products to create a meal. During the game, children learned about the nutritional value of food and gained insight into how meals can be created from whole ingredients. We also made a unique wooden table with six built-in tablets. The table was used during school events to allow children to experience the game in groups.
